Claudine and Robbie Keane have welcomed their second child into the world.

The model gave birth last night at Cedars Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles at 7pm.

The couple have yet to announce the name for their "gorgeous baby boy", but did say he weighed 8lbs.

"Robbie and Claudine Keane are delighted to announce the birth of their gorgeous baby boy, who was born at 7pm on the 5th of October weighing 8lbs at the cedars Sinai hospital LA," a Facebook post on Robbie Keane's page said.

"Mum and baby are doing great. Robert is already enjoying his new role as big brother."

Just last week, Claudine, a former beauty queen, was pictured entering a Beverly Hills beauty salon looking heavily pregnant as she made her way from her Range Rover for an appointment.

Having worked as the face of Ultimo lingerie and being crowned VIP's Most Stylish Woman in 2011, she's long been considered a style icon among the WAG set and said her pregnancy beauty secret is bio oil - which retails for €8.

"My skin has been feeling very dehydrated and sensitive during my pregnancy," the Malahide native said.

"I am a big fan of oils and love to saturate myself in them as I think it really hydrates your skin and gives it a gorgeous glow. Not to mention it really helps in preventing stretch marks."

She has been keeping a low profile of late, although the pair have attended the Grammys and the ESPYs already this year - a lifestyle which clearly suits the family.

"It’s a good lifestyle," she previously said. "It’s very relaxed for the family. Lots to do outdoors, especially with my son. He likes going to the beach.

"Initially I thought we’d only be here for two, maximum three years but contracts just kept getting a bit longer which was a good reflection on Rob’s form at the time and we’re thankful that we’re able to stay this long."
