rugby star Cian Healy is slimming down for his return to the rugby field - and says he uses Brian O'Driscoll as inspiration.
The Leinster prop forward, who is currently out of action until the new year because of a hamstring injury, has trimmed a few inches off his waistline and now his old jeans won't fit.
But Healy (27) joked that it's all a ploy to take former Ireland captain O'Driscoll's centre position, though he admitted his attempts may all be in vein.
"It's an ongoing joke I have that's never going to be reality, but I'm just going to keep winding him up about it," he said.
Healy has been visiting schools with the Six Nations trophy while recuperating.
"I like to be involved with rugby even when I can't play," he said.
Healy is getting behind the Elverys Sports Winter Warmer campaign in aid of the ISPCC.
Last Christmas Day alone, the ISPCC Childline received more than 1,500 calls and texts - and it expects figures to increase.
"It's very important to help kids," said Healy.
