CHAMPIONS DELIGHT THE FANS AS THEY TAKE PARTY BACK TO THEIR CLUBS

DUBLIN'S football heroes brought celebrations back to their local communities last night.

To fans' delight the Blues went back to the suburbs to allows the fans share in the glory. The All-Ireland champs delighted Dubs supports in Chapelizod.

Regulars at the Strawberry Hall pub were left stunned when members of triumphant squad walked in shortly after 8pm. Michael Darragh MacAuley, Nicky Devereux and Michael Fitzsimons happily posed with star-struck kids.

"I'm delighted," said Cuala man Fitzsimons.

"Most of the lads, myself included, will be taking it easy tonight with this charity match coming up Wednesday."

Later, Eamon Fennell took to the decks to DJ at D-Two.

The focus tonight will be on the traditional charity challenge match between the All-Ireland champions and county winners.

Dublin play Kilmacud Crokes in Parnell Park at 7.45pm with all proceeds being split between Crosscare and Temple Street Children's Hospital.
