DUBS star Stephen Cluxton's renowned nerves of steel were put to the test on his first flight to the US.

The Dublin goalkeeper looked decidedly more anxious on the plane than he did kicking the winning point in the All-Ireland final two years ago.

Bernard Brogan captured the moment on camera and posted the photo on Twitter.

"Clucko looking very nervous on his first flight to the US," Bernard told his followers, adding that Cluxton was a home bird.

Aer Lingus, official travel partner to Dublin GAA, flew members of the 2013 All-Ireland winning side to Chicago yesterday morning with the Sam Maguire tucked away in their hand luggage.

However, several panel members were missing from the flight.

With the Dublin county final between Ballymun Kickhams and St Vincent's taking place in Parnell Park on Sunday, players like Dean Rock and Philly McMahon had to stay behind.

In total, 11 players and management headed to Chicago and New York on a short trip to support Gaelic Games in North America.
