Celebs paint the town green all around the globe green
IRISH celebrities left everyone green with envy as they took to social media to share their extravagant St Patrick's Day celebrations.
Presenter Brian Ormond and his model wife Pippa O'Connor met Boyzone star Keith Duffy and wife Lisa despite being thousands of miles away in New York.
Laura Whitmore (far right) was also in the Big Apple for St Patrick's day ahead of her appearance on FOX show Good Day New York.
Cooking up a storm in the US, Celebrity chef Donal Skehan and fellow Irish foodie Catherine Fulvio were at Manhattan's Rockerfeller centre ahead of Donal's appearance on The Today Show.
Meanwhile, over in Washington, soccer ace Stephanie Roche celebrated the day in the White House with US President Barack Obama on her way from her Texas-based club Houston.
Closer to home, Ronan Keating was flying the Irish flag in London, where he's currently based with his TV producer girlfriend Storm Uechtritz, as they enjoyed some festive cupcakes.
The Boyzone star, along with bandmate Mikey Graham, also took to Twitter to pay tribute to Stephen Gately, who would have celebrated his 39th birthday yesterday.
Amy Huberman showed her true colours by sharing a picture on Twitter of her face painted green, white and gold.
The actress wrote: "Make-up contouring down 'pat' for the day that's in it."
It seemed not all celebrities enjoyed the day however. Former Xpose presenter Lorraine Keane said her St Patrick's was "ruined" after she missed the parade because her car had been clamped.
In an out-of-this-world celebration, Italian astronaut Sam Cristoforetti photographed Ireland from the International Space Station. "BeannachtaI na Feile Padraig oraibh! Happy St Patrick's Day!" she tweeted.
