Celebrities tee-off on Brian's big golf day out for charity
A HOST of stars including Pat Kenny, singer Bressie, and comedian Mario Rosenstock tee'd off at TV presenter Brian Ormond's annual charity golf day.
Footballer Sean St Ledger and former Irish squad hero Ronnie Whelan were also present at Powerscourt Resort in aid of Tallaght Community Arts.
Brian was joined by his wife Pippa O'Connor and their son Ollie at the event and told the Herald: "I'm delighted with how the day has gone and the weather's been fantastic which is always a plus. We're hoping to raise about €10,000 for the charity which isn't bad for one day of golf," he added.
Tallaght Community Arts was set up in 1996 and supports local communities, youth groups and people with learning and physical disabilities through participatory arts projects.
Money spinner presenter Brian (34) said: "I grew up not too far from Tallaght, in Clondalkin, so it's great to give something back to the community."
In between filming for the National Lottery, the dad of two hopes to jet away for some sun later this summer with model wife Pippa.
He said: "This year Pippa will be 30 so to celebrate we will be heading off to Marbella in a couple of weeks, hopefully."
David Webster, the Powersourt hotel manager who is also the Tallaght charity's chairman, said: "The day has been brilliant; we've had 25 teams of four and a couple of hundred spectators so we are thrilled with the attendance."
