Caught on CCTV... shop raider who threatened staff

THIS is the raider who threatened to pull a gun on a terrified Dublin shop clerk -- but fled after the alarm went off.

Crimestoppers are now offering a reward for anyone who has information on the identity of the robber who threatened the staff member.

The raid attempt occurred at the XL Shop on Dublin's Wellington Quay at 9.20pm on Friday, November 5.

The suspect is described as having "brown hair, rotten teeth and pale, pocked skin".

He entered the store wearing a grey jacket with the collar pulled up just below his nose to conceal his identity.

He waited behind a customer and when he reached the counter he told the shop assistant he had a gun and to open the till.

The assistant activated the alarm and the man fled empty-handed.

Gardai at Pearse Street are hunting the man and have asked the public for help. The man is said to be in his early to mid-20s, between 5ft 8in and 5ft 10in and of slim build.

He was wearing a grey jacket and tracksuit bottoms and spoke with a Dublin accent.
