Cannonball run blasts off to raise charity funds

Former Miss World Rosanna Davison won't be allowed to drive her husband's white Lamborghini as part of this weekend's Cannonball road trip.

"It's going to be my first Cannonball, Wes has been going every year," she told the Herald.

"I'm not allowed drive his white Lamborghini, so I'll be the DJ for the trip," she laughed.

"It's all for the Make A Wish Foundation and it's always great to be involved," she added.

A star-studded line-up will be taking off down the country in their elite cars.

Beginning on Friday from the Point Village, the Cannonball will be a spectacular sight as celebs in fancy dress will pack into 160 of the world's finest supercars to visit towns across Ireland.

Among those due to attend are Ryan Turbidy, Nicky Byrne, Miriam O'Callaghan, Shane Lynch and Corrie star Ryan Thomas.

The gleaming convoy will drive through 850km of open roads.
