Can arrival of Renua fix our broken politics?
Their name is a brand new word, and raised some eyebrows when it was revealed yesterday. It is yet to be seen if Lucinda Creighton's Renua party can deliver the new politics so keenly demanded by the Irish people and so long talked about by various political parties.
Little or no money, an absence of the kind of heavy hitters many had hoped to see at yesterday's launch and less than a year to establish themselves are just some of the obstacles the new party faces.
There has been a lot of hype surrounding Renua with the #RebootIreland campaign before it even had a name.
They have outlined a raft of new policies with an emphasis on reform and a new way of politics.
Only time will tell if the public will be won over by Lucinda, Eddie Hobbs and Co.
But Renua's arrival, albeit late, may be the first tangible move to deliver an alternative sought by many who are disillusioned with the traditional offerings.
Others will surely come on stream before the election.
