Bullies facing charges over death of Chloe (13)

CRIMINAL charges may now be brought in connection with the death of teenager Chloe Coleman, the Herald can reveal.

Gardai investigating the pretty schoolgirl's death last January have sent a "comprehensive" file to the DPP for examination.

A senior garda source has confirmed that allegations made by family members that Chloe (13) was bullied have been "thoroughly investigated".

The source said: "A file has been sent to the DPP in light of the fact allegations were made that Chloe was bullied. It is expected the DPP will send the file back within three weeks."

Devastated

Chloe was found hanged in her grandfather's home in Longford town in the early hours of Sunday, January 16.

Her devastated family maintain that her death warrants an independent inquiry.

They believe Chloe was bullied by local teenagers in the days leading up to her death.

The schoolgirl was reportedly assaulted in the toilets of a local disco hall on the Friday before she was found dead.

Chloe's grandfather Oliver Coleman (72) told the Herald that he would "fight until he dies" in order to get to the truth of this grand-daughter's death.
