Brangelina make THEIR WEDDING a REAL family affair
PHOTOGRAPHS of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's secret wedding in France have finally emerged and it appears the ceremony was very much a family affair - right down to the design of the bride's dress.
The couple tied the knot on August 23 at their home, Chateau Miraval in France, ten years after they first met on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith.
"It was important to us that the day was relaxed and full of laughter.
"It was such a special day to share with our children and a very happy time for our family," the couple explained to Hello! and People magazines, which had a glimpse into the very private couple's special day.
The newlyweds' children Maddo (13), Pax (10), Zahara (9), Shiloh (8), and six-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox all had a role on the big day and they helped their famous mum ensure her Luigi Massi of Atelier Versace designed gown and veil was certainly unique.
Hand sewn into the material was a number of the children's colourful drawings, on both the back of the dress and on the ethereal full-length veil.
The dress itself featured a fitted bodice with simple thin straps, the bust complete with ruching, with a plain waist, kicking out into a full skirt.
"Luigi is like family to me and I couldn't imagine anyone else making this dress," Angelina (39), told People magazine. "He knows and cares for the children and it was great fun putting it together," she said.
Meanwhile, groom Brad (50), wore one of his son's ties to the ceremony, reportedly held at a chapel on site, with just around 20 friends and family in attendance.
