Boyzone remember bro Stephen as they reunite in Oz for Ronan's charity ball
Boyzone reunited in Sydney on Thursday night to support Ronan Keating at his Emeralds and Ivy ball in aid of a cancer charity.
It was also a poignant reunion coming as it did on the fifth anniversary of bandmate Stephen Gately's death.
Pals Shane Lynch, Keith Duffy and Mikey Graham flew to Australia to support Ronan at the ball which was held in aid of Cancer Council Australia.
Gately died aged 33 of a congenital heart defect at the apartment he owned with his husband, Andrew Cowles, in Spain in 2009.
Taking to Twitter to share his grief, Keith Duffy (40) shared pictures of him and Stephen together.
"Can't believe it's been 5 years, We still talk about you everyday, Steo we love you bro Miss Ya, Till we meet again X," he wrote online.
Ronan (37) also shared a picture of Stephen, saying: "Where has the time Gone. Missing Ya everyday bro. Your words still make me laugh. Your song still gets me through. Your memory lives on in every song we sing. Rest well my friend God bless. X."
And Shane Lynch (38) posted a picture of the four lads on stage with a picture of Stephen on a screen in the background.
"Missing you bro... It's nice to be with the boyz on this given day," he wrote online.
Other celebrities in attendance at Ronan's charity event on the night included his fellow Australia X Factor judge Dannii Minogue (left).
Danni (42) said it was an "emotional night" as her sister Kylie was diagnosed with breast cancer nine years ago.
"Everybody I think in the room would have a connection, a story to tell, whether it's their own or a family member or a friend linked in with cancer," Minogue said.
"But the Cancer Council needs to raise funds and Ronan has been incredible with his personal story of losing his mum. We'll do anything to support him, even though we do fight on the panel."
