Bomb kills 11 at Indian court
A BRIEFCASE bomb tore through a crowd of people waiting to enter a New Delhi courthouse, killing 11 people and wounding scores more.
An al-Qa'ida-linked group claimed responsibility for yesterday's attack, though government officials said it was too early to name a suspect.
The attack outside the High Court came despite a high alert across the city and renewed doubts about India's ability to protect even its most important institutions despite overhauling security after the 2008 Mumbai siege.

ROCKER Jon Bon Jovi has returned to a Manhattan fire house to pay tribute to firefighters marking the 10-year anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
The New Jersey native, pictured, was filmed singing America The Beautiful by a TV crew preparing for a special NFL kickoff show on Saturday.
Bon Jovi said in an interview that it was "moving".
Delay in ex-US senator's trial
FORMER US presidential candidate John Edwards, accused of accepting illegal campaign contributions to hide an extramarital affair, had his trial moved to January from October.
US Chief District Judge James A. Beaty Jr. in Winston- Salem, North Carolina, yesterday granted a request by Edwards to postpone the trial.
Edwards, who was Democrat John Kerry's running mate in the 2004 election, was the subject of a two-year investigation into whether he used more than $925,000 (¤650,000) in campaign contributions to conceal his relationship with filmmaker Rielle Hunter.
