BOI's e1bn in deposits

BANK of Ireland has unveiled plans to split its retail division into Retail Ireland Division and Retail UK Division.

Liam McLoughlin has been appointed as chief executive of the retail Ireland division, where he will be responsible for the branch network, business banking and mortgages.

Meanwhile, it was revealed that the bailed-out banks in Ireland gained almost €1bn in deposits from Irish customers.
