Berry 'drops agent' following new US baking show debut
Mary Berry is reportedly no longer working with her long-time agent.
Fiona Lindsay, who had worked with the doyenne of TV baking for more than 25 years, is said to have been surprised by the decision.
Ms Lindsay, of Limelight Management, has been credit- ed with helping make Berry famous.
When they began working together, Berry spent most of her professional life writing cookbooks. Now, at 81, she has been central to the success of The Great British Bake Off, and is to head a new show along similar lines, still on the BBC, after Channel 4 bought the original format.
"Mary has left Fiona after nearly 30 years and it has left a lot of people stunned," a source said. The claims come as Berry attempts to crack America.
However, the all-new Great American Baking Show has failed to make a good impress- ion with viewers.
Berry did not comment. Lindsay has been contacted for comment.
