'Being on the catwalk was surreal,' says Laura

about town

Laura Whitmore made headlines when she walked for designer Bora Asku during London Fashion Week last month and the Bray native says it was a "surreal" experience.

"I was very nervous. I thought I was going to have a Carrie Bradshaw moment and fall over," she said.

"It was so surreal. Bora is a friend and I've loved his designs for years so to be able to close his show was an honour."

While the 29-year-old modelled when she was younger, she didn't want to make it her career.

"I used to model when I was younger but to be honest I don't have the patience," she admitted.

"Those girls work so hard and being backstage I got to see first-hand the stress and hard work that goes into it all."
