A MAN has appeared in court charged with unlawful possession of €8,000 worth of sedative tablets at his home.
Bernard Piggott (38) was granted bail despite garda objections.
The accused, of Drumheath Drive, Mulhuddart, pleaded guilty to possession of Benzodiazepines for sale or supply at that address on November 5 last.
At Blanchardstown District Court, Judge David McHugh was told gardai seized 4,000 tablets with an estimated value of €8,000, pending analysis.
It was alleged that the tablets were stored at "different locations, ready for sale or supply".
It was claimed that three people arrived at the house to buy drugs while gardai were there, unaware of the search.
Judge McHugh granted bail and adjourned the case.
