Aoife and Gordon welcome baby Lennon
Model Aoife Cogan and her rugby legend husband Gordon D'Arcy have welcomed their second child into the world.
The 35-year-old, who hung up her heels in 2014 to focus on building pilates studio Form School, revealed in July she was expecting her second child with the retired Irish rugby star.
The couple, who run the fitness business together, are overjoyed at the birth of their first son, Lennon.
They already have a daughter Soleil, born in May 2015.
"Welcome to the world baby Lennon," Aoife shared on Instagram alongside a picture of legendary singer John Lennon (inset), who likely inspired the name.
It has been a busy few months for Ireland's top models as Cogan's pal Sarah Morrissey gave birth to a little girl Sadie on Sunday, while Karen Fitzpatrick welcomed daughter Zara in September.
Gordon (36), previously said fatherhood changed his priorities and he preferred to be at home with his family.
"Suddenly your priorities change and perspectives change and you worry about not being there.
"You just worry about things a lot more. You are blessed when it happens," he said recently of having kids.
"It used to be just deciding where you were going for lunch with your teammates, now it's up early, changing nappies and then spending time with my baby and my wife."
The couple wed in 2012.
The former Leinster and Ireland rugby star recently told the Herald how he was missing out on Ireland's match against New Zealand in Chicago to stay by his heavily pregnant wife's side.
Ireland then went on to enjoy a historic win over the All Blacks earlier this month.
