Another Gleeson lauded

Brian is the latest of Gleeson clan to be praised for his acting work.

The brother of Star Wars actor Domhnall Gleeson and the son of Brendan attended the Irish premiere of his latest film Standby on Monday night.

The Irish rom-com also stars Mad Men actress Jessica Pare, and follows a former couple who end up spending time together when a flight is delayed.

Stars of the movie John Lynn, Francesca Cherruault, Ian Lloyd Anderson, Ronan Burke and Rob Burke also walked the red carpet at Dublin's Cineworld cinema.

Standby is the latest role for Ian after his character Dean was killed off in Love/Hate recently.

Brian will next be appearing in The Walworth Farce at the Gaiety Theatre with his dad Brendan and his brother Domhnall from January.

Other stars spotted out and about in town over recent days included Erasure frontman Andy Bell, who popped into Lillies Bordello after the band's sell out show at Dublin's Olympia.

Andy was joined in the VIP members bar by our very own Mr Pussy, aka Alan Amsby, and Robbie Kane of Classic Hits FM.
