Ryan Tubridy is poised to give Tony Blair a grilling during Friday's Late Late Show.
For the first programme of the new season, show chiefs have scored a major coup by securing the former British Prime Minister.
But both his new book and his visit here have been mired in controversy, given his unpopular decision to send British troops into Iraq in 2003 in support of George Bush.
But while the former Labour leader's advisors have been carefully managing all the publicity surrounding his forthcoming book tour, an RTE source has said that it is not the Late Late Show's policy to allow guests to censor certain questions, prior to their appearance.
The national broadcaster has yet to officially confirm that he will appear on the show.
