Alleged spanner burglar isfacing trial

A DUBLIN man accused of burglary while in possession of a spanner is facing trial on the charges.

David Paget (34), of Dromheath Grove in Ladyswell, appeared before Blanchardstown District Court charged with burglary at Castlecurragh Park in Mulhuddart on April 17 last.

He is also accused of damaging two bedroom windows at the same time and location, and with possession of a spanner and adjustable spanner for use in a theft or burglary.

The court heard the DPP has directed trial on indictment in the Circuit Court where the penalties are potentially more severe.

Judge David McHugh adjourned the matter to September for the service of the book of evidence.
