Aircraft firm profits up

A DUBLIN-BASED aircraft leasing firm boosted profits by 10pc to $144.2m (€177m), in the 12 months to the end of November 30, 2011.

Accounts filed by the main Irish arm of Awas Aviation Capital Ltd to the Companies Office show its key management personnel received $4m (¤3m) in share-based payments in 2011.

Awas secured the profits increase after revenues rose by 6pc, from $730.9m (¤561.8m) to $774m (¤595m).
