Aer Lingus trade rises

Aer Lingus said trading in the third quarter has been stronger than expected.

The group's chief executive Christoph Mueller (right) said there were improved yields, with growth in line with the second quarter of 2010.

Despite the weaker outlook for December, based on current trading, Aer Lingus now expects to report a full year operating profit, before exceptional items, at the top end of market forecasts. Predicted revenues for October and for November are also being raised.
