Aer Lingus tax bill cut

AER Lingus's tax bill settlement has been cut from €32.5m to €29.5m, the airline has revealed.

The group is due to pay the Revenue the back-tax, charges and penalties arising from a controversial 2008 redundancy scheme where employees were laid off, paid redundancy but then many of them were re-hired under different terms and pay scales.
