A TOTAL of 11 Irish start-up companies will pitch for first-round funding at a special 'dragons' den'-style investment event.
Tomorrow evening marks the culmination of Enterprise Ireland's nationwide business development programme, Propel II.
Each of the 11 companies has completed 10 months of intensive training on the Enterprise Ireland Propel programme, delivered by management consultants PA Consulting, on how to manage a business during the start-up phase.
The companies received financial support of up to €15,000 from Enterprise Ireland as well as office space, advice and networking support to get their business up and running.
The firms, which represent Ireland's growth industries of ICT and Life Sciences, will now have the chance to pitch their businesses for first-round funding from some of Ireland's leading angel investors in a 'dragons'-den' style event in Dublin and progress their business plans for international growth.
