€50k seed fund boost

AN IRISH company which creates computer programmes to assist children with learning difficulties has inked a €50,000 investment as part of an award.

Founded by Linda O'Sullivan, Galway-based Footbridge Learning won seed funding and consultancy supports from the Limerick Institute of Technology's (LIT) Business Awards, sponsored by the AIB Seed Capital Fund, taking the top prize at the entrepreneurship programme, LEAP.

The company will also receive additional supports, to the value of €25,000, by way of mentoring, legal consultancy and financial consultancy services.
