10 quizzed over Tiger kidnap of star family
GARDAI have arrested 10 people in relation to a terrifying Tiger kidnapping involving the young family of Kilkenny hurling star Adrian Ronan last year.
They were subjected to an eight-hour ordeal in November last year by the gang who were looking for up to €3m from the Bank of Ireland in Kilkenny.
Six men and four women have been arrested this morning following a number of searches in the Dublin area this morning.
Senior officers from the South-east travelled to Dublin to carry out the raids which resulted in the arrests.
The 10 are being detained in various stations throughout the South-east including Kilkenny, Carlow Waterford, Thomastown and Tramore.
Six of the detainees are being held under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act which means they can be held for a week. The four remaining suspects can be questioned for up to four days.
