Pamper yourself while you get up close to hero Rory...

IT'S your chance to see an Irish world beater in the flesh -- and pamper yourself in the process.

US Open winner Rory McIlroy will be the star attraction at this year's Irish Open in Killarney -- and you can be there to cheer him on.

Hoteliers in the town are gearing up for a weekend of thrills, but it's hard to get closer to the picturesque course than at Aghadoe Heights Hotel and Spa.

The award-winning five-star hotel, overlooking the Killeen course by the Lakes of Killarney, has just released a deal to get you to the heart of the action.

Irish Open packages include two nights accommodation, dinner on one evening and a one-day Irish Open pass from €285 per person sharing.

After a day of following the action on the course, the focus turns to the hotel where the famous barbecues will be held as the golf contest takes place from July 28-31.

Non-golfers are catered for as the town hosts another top festival, Taste of Killarney, on the same weekend.

The award winning hotel spa will create a pamper zone at the festival, with therapists offering mini-manicures or massage treatments, while the hotel's Executive Head Chef will be offering some of his culinary specialities for sampling.

Families are well catered for too, with children invited to stay for free over the summer months and family staycation packages from €252 per adult sharing.

For just a little more, at €265, there's a Golf School Package with a one-hour lesson with the resident pro golfer, all bookable on www.aghadoeheights.com.
