This look is all about the legs but any gal not too comfortable baring her stems can easily add opaque tights without forfeiting any fashion points. The reason this look works so well is that apart from the brevity of the skirt everything else is undercover, thanks to long sleeves and a high neckline.
It works here with nude shoes and we can easily see a well-cut trench coat over it and some shoe boots for a super-chic daytime finish.
Mrs Beckham, wearing one of her own designs at the launch of her new range Victoria, rocks most looks and she's no exception here opting for a monochrome approach which is more businesslike than our busy print. Former Atomic Kitten Liz McClarnon, on the other hand, chose a print version at the recent Hybrid and OK! Magazine London Fashion Week party and completed the look with a smart, black jacket.
And if you need further proof that this look is bang on trend then check out the 'catwalk' version at Mark Fast's London Fashion Week show.
