my perfect weekend

On Friday night I'd: Stay in with my husband and cook dinner or we pop out to some of our favourite restaurants, like Ely Wine Bar. I am flying between Dublin and London a lot with work, so by the time I get to Friday, I like to take it easy! Plus, no Friday night is complete without watching Graham Norton.

My favourite stiff drink is: I like a nice glass of wine and my favourite is Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. It tastes great with cheese.

Saturday morning lie-on or gym session: I tend to do my exercising during the week with walking and yoga classes. So, on Saturday I normally look around the shops and check out what trends can give me ideas for shoots and features. Plus, I am a shopaholic.

My favourite item of clothing is: My new black wool and leather coat from Guess. It was my Christmas present to myself! Every year, I make an investment in a long-lasting item of clothing and I had my eye on this one in BT2 for a really long time. I used to go to visit it!

My Saturday night fever: A good gossip with my girls over a cocktail, followed by tearing up a dance floor in our high heels.

My favourite hangover cure: Poached eggs and strong coffee. I love going out for brunch. Odessa do a particularly good Eggs Florentine, which I recommend.

On Sunday I rest by: Taking the papers, curling up on the sofa with pots of tea and getting my fill of world news. I check the papers online during the week and on a Sunday, I buy them. Naturally, the style sections are my favourite.

I'm currently reading: I eat books, and I can easily get through a good one in a couple of days. I finish every day by reading, it helps me sleep. At the moment, I am addicted to John le Carre and I just finished Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy. I will also admit to reading Fifty Shades of Grey and loving it.

My last supper: Salmon fishcake with steamed spinach from The Ivy in London, accompanied by a good Sauvignon Blanc. Three words; yum, yum yum.
