THEY recently cemented their relationship when he popped the question, and now loved-up couple Louise Duffy and Paul Galvin have marked another milestone occasion - her 30th birthday.
The radio host turned the big 3-0 yesterday and was showered with treats, including good wishes and tasty cake from her Today FM colleagues, such as pal Mairead Farrell.
The Mayo native then enjoyed a quiet birthday night in with her Kerry GAA star fiance after a hectic weekend.
Louise was over the moon when her other half and her close friends surprised her with a special birthday party on Friday night.
The party, which was moved to the garden to take in the good early summer weather, was for close friends and family.
The popular presenter then continued the celebrations when she stepped out with retired footballer Paul for a romantic day in Dublin’s city centre, stopping off for a drink at Grogan’s on South William Street.
“The station made a fuss of Louise yesterday as 30 is a big birthday, but she had already marked the occasion so she was happy to go to work and keep it low-key enough,” a source told the Diary.
Galvin got down on bended knee while he and Louise were in New York on a romantic getaway, and his bride-to-be has since showed off her sparkler on a few rare outings.
The proposal came only days after the petite brunette secured her own lunch-time slot on Today FM and the busy host said the couple have yet to make any wedding plans.
“It’s been a lovely time and then I started on the show - it’s all been put on the back burner now.
“We’ll do it at some point,” she said.
