Kate recycles her favourite dress by top Irish designer
SHE is the queen of recycling stylish outfits and the Duchess of Cambridge dug out her favourite Orla Kiely dress for a charity visit.
The stylish 31-year-old showed off her slim figure in a limited edition coatdress by the Irish designer during the visit in London.
It's the second time that the thrifty Duchess has donned the brown patterned dove-printed dress coat.
Its first outing was back in February 2012 when Kate wore it to The Art room in Oxford (pictured right), which encourages confidence in disadvantaged children.
As soon as she was spotted wearing it, there was a frenzy of excitement.
The wool jacquard shift dress was on sale for £162 (€192) down from £325 (€386), and it sold out "in minutes" of its first outing.
The mum-of-one is famous for her penchant for revisiting outfits and her visit to the charity Only Connect in London proved no exception.
While that dress is from last year, popular Orla Kiely is likely to see demand for her designs surge again.
Orla Kiely's designs, which are renowned for their standout prints are not just loved by Kate, but by her mum Carole too. Proud grandmother Carole wore a dress by the designer to meet her new grandson in July.
Kate arrived with her husband Prince William, and they toured the offices of the charity and also mingled with crowds outside its Pentonville Road headquarters.
The dress wasn't the only part of her outfit making a repeat appearance, because her brown suede ankle boots from Russell and Bromley and the black clutch were also in their second outing.
The long-sleeved coat dress worry by Duchess which has buttons in the centre and a pleated skirt is clearly a favourite of the Duchess.
Meanwhile, she revealed during yesterday's visit, that her baby George, who is third in line to the British throne and now four months old, is "growing up fast".
