Which make-up remover will perform the full monty?

I had to be super tough in this category, because all of the products performed at a similarly high level.

Each of these were tested on what I like to call 'holiday face': foundation, blush, glitter, dark lippy, and smoky eyes. It's a tough job, but one of this lot has got to do it . . .

THE BODY SHOP Camomile Gentle Eye Make-up Remover, €11.95 * * * *

Gentle is as gentle does, and this does gentle really well. It's a five-star prospect when the maquillage is run of the mill. It had the hardest time with the black eyeliner and mascara; glitter was as nothing in its path. This is an excellent everyday go-to.

CHRISTIAN DIOR Instant Cleansing Water, €30 * *

Oh, man. On cotton pad number six, I just gave up and washed up with cleanser, which I hate to do because I always get it in my eyes. Fantastic when you keep it simple, but it folded like a house of cards when it came to holiday face.

DERMALOGICA Soothing Eye Make-up Remover, €25 * *

This is a gel. It performed least best in both conditions, so I can't really recommend it.

MATIS Biphase Eyes & Lips Make-up Remover, €19 * * * * *

This is my new favourite. Give it a little shake, and mix up the two liquids and proceed with the easy removal of even the most stubborn make-up.
