It takes more than a killer body to dare to bare like Rachel McAdams
You need confidence a-plenty to flash the flesh, says Suzy Belton
HAS A more daring dress be seen on the red carpet in recent times?
Rachel McAdams' barely there white and blue Suno dress left little to the imagination when she arrived at a recent premiere.
The Canadian actress (32) was photographed with veteran megastar Harrison Ford, yet her low-cut dress left her co-star companion firmly in the shade.
She accessorised her revealing dress with natural make-up, a breezy blowdry, low-key jewellery consisting mainly of a funky ring, and a pair of purple stilettos.
Her flesh-baring dress comes from the Suno fashion collection, a New York-based line started by Max Osterweis to showcase Kenyan artistry and fabric, and of which Rihanna is a fan.
Prices for the fresh and fun dresses start at €600. But aside from the fact that you'd need a killer body like Rachel’s to get away with the look, is it something that the average girl could work?
Stylist Cathy O'Connor says: “Never mind cleavage, what a girl needs to wear this dress is confidence. She needs to feel that no matter what happens she has a great body.
“She needs to know she hasn't an ounce of fat on her sides or back, and no unsightly ripples or bulges. She needs great faith in ‘tit tape', which is about the only thing holding the dress in place.
“It's a fresh and pretty dress in spite of being daring, and I think it's a great choice for a red carpet moment. It is definitely an attention-seeking dress and yet it's a great change from the diamond-encrusted ruffles you usually get on these occasions.”
