Fashion houses unite to put us in the pink this spring

We'll be in the pink this spring if leading fashion designers have anything to do with it. Everyone from Louis Vuitton to Prada to the John Galliano label have infused their spring fashion collections with shades of pink, from the pastel to the flushed to the voraciously vivid and bordering on purple.

Fashion commentators are describing this drive for the divinely sweet in clothes as 'Femme Fashion'.

The John Galliano spring collection fosters this girly look with a gorgeous ruffled pink dress.

Prada has embraced the trend with a floral, embellished pencil skirt, while Nina Ricci is both ethereal and feminine with a floating purple/pink dress.

Alexander McQueen's babydoll dress is topped off with an exotic headpiece.

Meanwhile, Louis Vuitton has gone all ladylike with a peachy-pink cardigan.

Anahita Moussavian, fashion commentator with the New York Post, says of this new fashion trend: "Begone the leather, studded and pants-less looks that have ruled seasons past, and may the prettiest princess reign." >Anna Coogan
