SPOTS come whenever they want, according to a twisted logic all their own. They seem to know exactly when you don't want one, don't they? Let's gang up on them, shall we, and send them back from whence they came?
BENEFIT Radiance Boo Boo Zap, €20.50 HHHII
This is very astringent, so if you are not happy putting stuff with alcohol on your face, then you won't like this. Me, I don't mind so much, and found that this was pretty good. It did dry out the affected area, which wasn't great, but the container is so portable that you can keep it in your bag and zap those boo boos wherever you are.
DERMALOGICA Concealing Spot Treatment, €41.60 HHHHH
I was not crazy about this when I was using it, pre-self-tan. It was too dark for my regular skin tone. Now that I'm getting on with the glow, when I had a spot pop up, this treatment worked, well, a treat.
SUPER + by DR NICHOLAS PERRICONE Breakout Solution Blemish Treatment, €45 HIIII
This is rather pricey, as shown, and I found that when I pumped the pump, way too much product came out. If you have a lot of spots to clear up, then that is fine. If you don't, then it's a total waste. Bottom line? I didn't find this to be very effective and that, added to the fact that you can't use this with pinpoint accuracy makes me want to take my custom elsewhere.
GARNIER Pure Active Roll-On, €10.49 HHHII
This is genius because, unlike the preceding treatments, you don't apply this with one of your dirty, germy fingers. This has salicylic acid in it, only 2pc, but it did dry out the area, maybe a touch too much.
MARIO BADESCU Drying Lotion, €19.70 HHHHI
My sister-in-law let me use some of this when I was visiting NYC, and had apparently picked up a zit in Duty Free or something. This is pink, so it's a night-time treatment; apply it with a cotton bud and hit the sack. Worked a treat. You can buy it on beautybay.com.
