Designer Kate dazzles as she shows caring side
KATE MIDDLETON stuck with a favourite fashion designer for a visit to a hospital.
She wore an understated cream Amanda Wakeley dress with a pair of LK Bennett Sledge shoes and a clutch bag by the same fashion house.
Kate and her husband Prince William opened an £18m (¤20m) cancer unit at the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in Sutton, south London yesterday.
Kate is known to favour the designer -- she recycled a navy blue Wakeley suit for her first overseas trip as a member of the royal family to Canada and the US.
She had previously worn the same suit at her last official engagement before her wedding in April, when she and William visited Lancashire. The Duchess also wore the same "nude" shoes on the Royal Marsden visit that she had sported at the Epsom Derby in June.
In the centre's Teenage and Young Adult Chemotherapy Suite, the royal couple met Fabian Bate (9), who was in the middle of chemotherapy for his acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, and promised to post a message on his blog.
