autumn/winter just got seriously comfy
putting the boot in
THE unisex utility boot has rarely been out of fashion in the last couple of decades, but it does get an occasional makeover. Skechers footwear has gone with a retro heritage influence this season for its range.
This includes a heritage original, the lace-up logger Skechers Laramie 2 boot (€110, pictured). This six-eyelet lace-up classic is available in smooth oiled or nubuck leather upper.
The Mad Dash is a casual ankle boot featuring strap details and metal buckle accents (€60-€75).
Skecher store locations: Henry Street; Liffey Valley SC; Blanchardstown SC; The Square Tallaght; Swords Pavilions.
the ideal set-up
NYX Makeup Setting Sprays are light-weights that work hard to make sure your make-up stays put. Available in a Matte Shine-Free Finish or Dewy Fresh Glow (€9.99 each), they help keep that "just-applied" look from day to night.
All you do is shake, spray and allow to set. Shake the bottle and spray on to your face from six inches. The spray will then set your make-up, resisting unwanted colour fade.
From pharmacies nationwide.
Supper and Style
THIS Thursday the Kilkenny Shop is opening its doors from 5pm for a special evening of food and fashion as part of its Supper in Style event. It is being held in the flagship Nassau Street store, where you can feast your eyes on the latest autumn/winter collection.
Following supper and a glass of wine in the Kilkenny Cafe, stylist Cathy O'Connor will showcase some of the season's must-have trends and looks from the range of Irish and international brands with an exclusive style workshop.
Cathy will be on hand to help with all of your style queries throughout the evening as customers shop for the latest fashion faves.
The Shelbourne Spa will also be on hand on the night with some pampering treats and special samples for guests.
The event is ticket-only (€25). Ask in store for more details or have a good look at kilkennyshop.com
