Sounding off

Following the show-stopping performance by Irish hopeful Mary Byrne (right) last week, the worry is she may have peaked too soon. Tonight it's the second live show and tensions are running high between the judges -- with Cheryl Cole on the receiving end of some cutting remarks from Louis Walsh.


Hollywood Greats: Tony Curtis BBC2, 6.45pm

As a tribute to the actor who died recently, this is a reshowing of the Jonathan Ross interview with the cinematic icon back in 2002. The star's humble beginnings in New York are recalled and he also discusses his tumultuous love life and the talent that made him a Hollywood star.


Tommy Fleming: Going Back RTE1, 11.05pm

Tommy's ability to hit the right notes has got him an enthusiastic fan base.

This one-hour special follows the Sligo-born singer on a nostalgic journey as he records his new album, Going Back, taken from the Dusty Springfield classic of the same name.


Merlin BBC1, 7.45pm

Arthur is being rushed into a marriage with Elena, a visiting princess. However, Merlin discovers the princess may not be exactly who she claims. And why is she so keen to wed Arthur in such a hurry?
