Mister International is looking for love with the help of RTE's One Night Stand

ONE of Dublin's well known male socialites will be taking to the small screen in the hopes of finding true love.

The Herald can reveal how hunky male model Francis Xavier Usanga, who took the title of Mister International last summer, is set to appear on RTE dating show One Night Stand.

Excited

Francis (24) has been single for the past nine months and admits he sees himself settled down with a wife and kids in five years.

A native of Nigeria, the BScene catwalk model moved to Cork at a young age, before relocating to Dublin several years ago.

"I'm very excited about the programme. I don't know what to expect from it at all," he said. "It's all a bit of a mystery because we don't know anything about the girls we'll be going on the dates with.

"I'm hoping to meet someone who is fun, outgoing, chatty and I suppose being good-looking wouldn't hurt either.

"I don't know whether I will end up meeting the one but either way hopefully it will be a fun-packed weekend.

"It's hard to know where the right place to meet someone is. I could walk out my front door and it could happen or maybe on this show. Who knows?"

He added: "I'm just out of a serious relationship so I'm not looking to jump into anything immediately but I do see myself settling down in the next couple of years."

Francis hit the headlines earlier this year when he made a surprise appearance at top model Nadia Forde's 21st birthday celebrations at the Wright Venue.

It was there that he shocked her Nadia's granny with his barely-there outfit.

Craic

He will be joined on the show by close friends Johnny Hammond (29) and Greg Twomey (24), with the trio due to be heading off for Limerick the weekend after next to take part in the show.

"I'm looking forward to meeting up with the two lads and having a bit of a laugh with them.

"Johnny's a DJ at Bucks so I would know him from being out and about and Greg's based in Limerick so he knows all the good places to go," he said.

He admitted: "A lot of people have been asking me why I would put myself forward for the show when I'm Mister International and saying that surely I should have girls falling over me.

"But I don't see it like that. "It's all just a bit of craic and sure whatever happens happens."
