Miriam's final show pulls in 422k viewers
RTE star Miriam O'Callaghan finished her chat-show season with a bang by pulling in more than one third of all television viewers for her final Saturday Night With Miriam.
The glamorous mum of eight received a 35pc audience share last Saturday night, with an average of 422,000 viewers tuning in to watch the programme.
"We're really happy with the figures and the whole series overall has done very well," an RTE representative said.
In order to ensure she finished off her fourth season in style, Miriam had her team line up a special bunch of star guests and also launched the national broadcaster's new reality series, Charity Lord of the Rings.
On hand to launch the series was a heavily pregnant Lucy Kennedy and Barry McGuigan, who exclusively revealed the full line-up of 10 celebrities taking part.
Miriam was also joined by Joe Duffy and the Funny Fridays -- including Brush Shiels, Uncle Bob Carley, Doc Savage and Clint Velour -- as well as a number of special guests who were there to celebrate the upcoming 50th Anniversary of the Rose of Tralee. Also present on the night were host Ray D'Arcy, Daithi O Se, Alice O'Sullivan, the first Rose, the 25th Rose, Brenda Hyland, and current Rose, Aoife Kelly, and the three Roses who performed in 2007's Charity You're a Star.
