Lorraine says her spoof send-up is hilarious
She was one of the prime targets in John Ryan's spoof news programme, This is Nightlive yet Xposé front woman Lorraine Keane has given the RTE show a big thumbs up.
The entertainment guru revealed she found the character based on herself "hilarious" and was relieved when she first saw the programme.
"I was delighted because I was expecting it to be a lot worse," she told the Herald.
"I'm glad they went with the posh portrayal of me as opposed to a 'Howya' version I was imagining they might try!
"I take all these things with a pinch of salt, there's no point in taking yourself too seriously," she added.
Lorraine is an old friend of John Ryan, the man behind the series that was panned by many, but admits she didn't have time to tune in every week.
According to the mum of two: "Even though I depend on the TV business for a living, unfortunately I rarely get to watch television myself so I have to say I only saw one episode. I thought it was quite good, though."
Meanwhile, Lorraine today confirmed she will not be attending tomorrow night's IFTA awards.
"I was never going to the IFTAs," Lorraine revealed. "I had actually committed six months ago to going to an Irish Autism Action event in Drogheda with my husband Peter on Valentine's night."
