Irish chef Dundon's BBC show is all set
CHEF Kevin Dundon has wrapped filming of a new BBC series that pits family members against each other to find the ultimate home cook.
The chef, who owns the renowned Dunbrody House in Co Wexford, provides guidance to kitchen hopefuls with fellow celebrity chef Jenny Bristow.
The wannabe chefs' cooking skills are then judged by a panel made up of their family and friends.
Kevin (42) said of the new series, Stuffed: "It's all about finding the best home cook.
"It's a really good show and Jenny Bristow and I are the two chef/advisers to the various different themes."
In the new show, a predetermined family member or friend eventually chooses which chef is the winner of the dinner menu. "I had a lot of fun filming it," he added.
Kevin, originally from Malahide, said that he was also in the middle of filming another features and lifestyle cookery show but said that he was "remaining tight lipped about that for the moment".
The TV chef said that there had been a positive turn around in business at Dunbrody House, the hotel he runs with his wife Catherine.
"Things are great in Dunbrody House also," he said. "We had a lot of weddings booked in for 2010 and it is being very well received as a premier wedding venue.
"The Dundon Food Experience product range is going from strength to strength and is now available in a number of gourmet shops and retail outlets in the south east as well as the greater Dublin area."
The hotelier explained that his slot on RTE's Afternoon Show had been more focused towards creating a budget menu for families.
