Tribute To Pete Postlethwaite BBC2, 7.30pm

The Oscar-nominated British actor died earlier this month after a long battle with cancer. He was best known for performances in Jurassic Park, In The Name of the Father, The Usual Suspects and Brassed Off, with world-renowned director Steven Spielberg calling him "the best actor in the world". A fitting tribute to a great star of stage and screen.



MIND GAMES

Casualty BBC1, 8.50pm

The morning after a night on the tiles and Ruth is plagued by flashbacks of drunken antics on the dance floor.

However, some of her memories are even worse, as she begins to question whether a patient from the hospital tried to rape her.



PERFECT TIMING

British Comedy Awards: The Nominations Channel 4, 10.05pm

Tonight's lead-up to the main event next Saturday provides a lowdown on who's made the cut in each category. There's a new gong up for grabs -- The King or Queen of Comedy award.

Also featured are funniest clips from the last 12 months, plus interviews with Graham Norton, Frank Skinner, Miranda Hart and Sarah Millican.



THE BEAUTIFUL GAME

Premier Soccer Saturday RTE2, 8pm

Highlights include the clash between Manchester City and Wolves -- the latter managed, of course, by Mick McCarthy. Darragh Maloney also presents highlights of other matches including Chelsea v Blackburn Rovers and West Ham v Arsenal.
