I don't want Gerry's job, I'm just too busy being a mum -- Lucy

She may be filling Gerry Ryan's rather large shoes at the moment, but Lucy Kennedy has no desire to take the 2fm morning slot full time.

The chatty TV presenter was asked to step in alongside DJ Colm Hayes for the next four weeks after Gerry's untimely death.

But while RTE bosses consider their options, Lucy insisted she didn't have the experience to take the job on a permanent basis.

However, Lucy (33), who gave birth to baby Jack just six months ago, says she would definitely like to add more radio presenting to her CV.

SLIM

"I think with that particular slot you need someone who has a lot of experience and a lot of wisdom so I'm not sure I would be the best candidate," she told the Diary.

"I think Gerry just had that mix of being fun but wise. It's a hard slot to fill. Obviously, Gerry's irreplaceable.

"We're just doing it for the next four weeks. What's going to happen then I genuinely don't know. But I'm definitely interested in radio in some form.

"I'd like to do it on top of television. It's definitely a talking gig which is perfect for me because I love to talk," she laughed.

Former air hostess, Lucy showed off her slim post-pregnancy figure on the red carpet when she attended the European premiere of Robin Hood at Dundrum movie theatre alongside her husband Richie Governey.

The film starring Russell Crowe was one of Lucy's first public appearances since giving birth last November, with the new mum explaining that her sister-in-law had volunteered to babysit for the night. The former Podge and Rodge star, who married Richie in Italy in 2008, will celebrate her second wedding anniversary in July and says that the couple are more loved up than ever.

According to Lucy: "We still go on date nights all the time. After ten years together you have to keep the romance alive. Motherhood makes it even more special. It's great, I'm really enjoying it.

TIME

"It's working out perfectly at the moment because I'm working in the mornings and then I'm home at about two and I've nothing on in the afternoons so I've loads of time to spend with Jack," she added.

Lucy will return to work fulltime in July when she begins filming on a third series of her hit RTE show, Living with Lucy.

Other guests who attended Robin Hood included singer Sharon Corr and her husband Gavin Bonnar, Kathryn Thomas and her longterm boyfriend Enda Waters, Michelle Heaton, Xpose's Lisa Cannon, Danielle Meagher and Maria Fusco.
