FACE THE MUSIC

An Audience with Barry Manilow

UTV, 9pm Barry Manilow's plasticised face might send an involuntary shudder or two up some spines as he performs many of his best-loved songs, including Copacabana, Mandy, Could It Be Magic and I Write the Songs, for a celebrity audience.

The star also takes questions on his award-winning career (but not, presum-ably, quest-ions on how to grow old gracefully).

LABELLED WITH LOVE

Upside Down : the Creation Records Story

BBC4, 9pm Iconic 80s and 90s acts the Boo Radleys, Jesus and Mary Chain, Primal Scream and Oasis all have Alan McGee's label to thank for their fame. With clips of Creation acts performing at the Beeb, this is bound to bring back some musical memories.

LEAF IT TO MONTY

Gardeners' World

BBC2, 8pm Ah, Monty Don . . . the most laidback man on television. Uncork the wine and watch him potter about his potting shed as he demonstrates how to make leaf mould. Monty's twinkling eye and boyish grin will have you itching to get the gardening gloves on. Either that or you'll have fallen asleep.

ON THE ROAD

An Idiot Abroad 2

Sky 1, 9pm Karl Pilkington travels along America's famous Route 66. Activities sprung on him by the irritating Ricky Gervais and increasingly smug Stephen Merchant include a 'cuddle party' with new-age therapists.
