THERE'S no rest for the wicked – or floppy-haired TV star Donal Skehan.

Celebrity chef Donal and his girlfriend Sofie are currently tearing round the country in a van on their HomeCooked Tour.

"We're on the road cooking up treats. It's a bit like The Hairy Bikers – except with a lot less hair and no bikes," said Donal (left).

Instead he's in a Toyota van with his grinning visage emblazoned across the side.

"It's a little bit weird having your own face on the car you're driving," he said.

"But it's a lot better then the van I used in my TV show. That didn't even work. We had to bring the van around on a trailer with me sitting in the front seat pretending to drive."

Donal will be in the Helix this Saturday showing fans some of his culinary delights. He said: "It's a lot of fun. It's an interactive show so I think people get a lot out of it. They come up on stage and enjoy the food.

"I'm working right up to the end of November, then filming a Christmas special and then I can breathe and relax."
