ANGELA Scanlon has said being herself is the key to her success, as she eyes up a return to The Voice UK.
The flame-haired presenter has been making her mark across the pond with her work on the talent show and now looks set to reprise her role as the show's digital presenter.
This year's show saw her chat backstage with the contestants and also with the coaches - who are some of the biggest names in the music business.
Her on-screen performance seems to have impressed BBC bosses as she has revealed she is in talks to reprise her role.
Modest Angela (31), who hails from Co Meath, is keeping her cards close to her chest about her series return, however.
"We have had some conversations about it but you can't really take anything for granted," she said.
Landing her dream job was something of a happy accident.
"It is dream job but nothing was planned, it just sort of happened," she said.
With a string of credits under her belt both at home and abroad, the TV host insisted that she doesn't change her on-camera style depending on how many people are likely to be tuning in.
"I don't work harder because I'm in the UK or anything. I just try to be myself and I don't think about how many people might be watching," she told a Sunday newspaper.
"All I can do is be myself. Your instinct is to try and fit a mould but when you are just yourself it tends to get you noticed a lot more.
"There's a uniqueness and an honesty to that which stands out," she added.
Fellow presenter Claudia Winkleman knows how to be herself on camera and Angela is quick to praise her for it.
"She's not just the pretty sidekick, she is smart, she is natural and she is herself," she said.
Angela's down-to-earth approach has served her well so far.
She has fronted several shows of her own for RTE, including documentaries Full Frontal and The Naked Truth.
She has also been anchoring RTE Two's Getways since Aoibhinn Ni Shuilleabhain stepped down from that job last year.
Despite her success, Angela is not cutting ties with home - she has another RTE show in the pipeline.
