A winner xposed
The nationwide search for TV3’s new ‘Xpose presenter has concluded, with 28-year-old Sean Munsanje from Dublin voted as the ‘Total Xposure’ winner.
From now on you will be seeing Sean every evening as he joins Glenda, Lisa, Karen and Aisling on Xpose.
Sean celebrated with his new colleagues as he was announced as the winner of the reality show last night live on TV.
However, in what could come as a shock to the new member of the Xpose team, a station source has revealed he may not be kept on once the six-month contract runs out.
Far from being given a permanent contract on the programme like the other Xpose girls, the winner of the reality show could well be casting around for other work in the new year.
“Nothing is set in stone with this contest,” a TV3 insider revealed.
“It’s one thing to come across well on a reality programme like Total Xposure, but doing the job for real is another thing entirely.
“The chemistry between the current team is very good and everyone’s delighted with the show’s ratings.
But the ultimate decision on whether or not to keep on the new reporter will lie with the programme chiefs, end of story.”
TV3 viewers have been glued to their screens since the reality programme to find Lorraine Keane’s replacement started in June.
Under the watchful eye of judges Michael O’Doherty, Emma Ledden and Gerry Lundberg, the finalists have spent the summer fighting it out for the Xpose job.
The aspiring showbiz reporters were whittled down to model Ruth O’Neill, FM 104 movie buff Sean Munsanje and TV producer Simon Atkins before last night’s climax.
One Irish bookie paid out early on Sean being named as the winner.
He had been installed as the hot favourite, with more than €10,000 being paid to punters who backed him, with model Ruth as second favourite and Simon in third position.
Show insiders had hinted that they would prefer a guy to join the Xpose team for a bit of variety – and it seemed that Sean was seen as the strongest contender.
