The Irish youngster who sang with Whitney Houston at her Irish gig is London-bound after nabbing a coveted slot at a concert in Wembley Arena.
Young Dublin girl Zena Donnelly (10) is over the moon after being invited as the only Irish child to perform at the Voice In A Million event on March 12.
The day will see around 5,000 members of the UK children's choir taking to the stage for a Mother's Day special.
Talented Zena was first discovered by the Late Late Toy Show in 2009, when she gave a solo performance which led on to her singing with Whitney at her April 2010 concert in the O2.
• Model Rosanna Davison has said her Playboy appearance means she is now more open to stripping off in film roles. The former Miss World is set to begin her acting career this year – and says being a cover girl means she has no issue going topless – if required. "I suppose I can't have a problem with it, can I?" she said, Herald columnist Rosanna makes her debut in Ringsend, a gritty gangster drama, alongside former EastEnders star Martin Kemp.
• A stylish fundraiser in aid of the Irish Youth Foundation will take place later this month. A fashion and jazz brunch will see attendees enjoying a cocktail reception and brunch while listening to jazz sessions at the March 24 event. They will also be checking out all the latest spring fashions from Brown Thomas Dublin. The bash will be hosted by the No 27 bar at the Shelbourne Hotel. Among those supporting the event will be presenters Lorraine Keane and Darren Kennedy as well as Lorna Weightman and Leinster rugby star Eoin Redden, who's a board member of the IYF. Comedian Oliver Callan will MC the event. Guests will go home with a BT goody bag and tickets for the lunch are available for €90 from the Irish Youth Foundation.
• It's that time of the year again when racing-mad fans turn their attentions towards the biggest festival of them all, Cheltenham. And to give them a taste of what they can expect from the 2013 event, there's a Cheltenham Preview night taking place tomorrow night in Dawson Street bar Cafe en Seine. Hosted by TV3's Denis Kirwan, there will be a host of well-known jockeys and trainers in attendance as they give everyone the low-down on the week-long event.
